2025 Freemasons Rookie Challenge

The 2025 Freemasons Rookie Challenge took place at Spencer Park Surf Life Saving Club on Monday evening. The annual event saw seven teams from across Canterbury, each consisting of four Rookies, navigate through challenge stations where they demonstrated their Rookie lifeguard skills. The Freemasons Rookie Challenge is an excellent way to prepare our Rookies (U14) for the next step toward becoming full patrolling Surf Lifeguards (14+).Flynn Isherwood, Francesca Wright and Zach Horton represented New Brighton. Our tough trio's success was impacted by not having a fourth member which was a necessity for scoring maximum points.
