Our New Clubhouse - Building Update No. 1

As you may or may not be aware the CCC Annual Plan has resulted in Council making an allocation of $1 million towards the rebuild of the New Brighton SLSC facility. ( We still need to work through the specifics of any funding criteria and any funding agreement based on information we have received from the councillors).

The Club is now focused on securing as much as $750,000 of funding from the Lotteries Commission and is preparing a feasibility report to enhance its chances of securing this funding. An important component of the feasibility report is to confirm value of the facility to the local community. In this regard, what we need is a list that identify the following:

· Community groups that may be interested users / hirers of this facility once constructed so they can be approached for comment on design and also letters of endorsement;

· Local business groups that could be approached to offer statements on the value of the Club and its facility to the local business community and also letters of endorsement;

· Local residential / neighbourhood groups that could be approached to offer statements on the value of the Club and its facility to the local business community and also letters of endorsement; and

· Any other groups or individuals that do not fit into the above categories, but which you believe the Club should be approaching for design feedback and indications of support for the project.

The feasibility report must be completed by early August, so hoping this information can be provided ASAP.
